Definition
Organization 3.0 — a concept of an agent-centric company in which strategic decisions are automatically translated into goals, and goals become prompts for AI agents that form an operational plan.

Traditional organizations are designed around the constraints of human communication. A general cannot give a direct order to each of hundreds of thousands of soldiers—hence the need for a hierarchy. AI agents remove this constraint.

Today: Strategy → Managers → Tasks → Employees (5–7 layers, enormous losses in information transmission)
Org 3.0: Strategy → Goals → Prompts → Agents → Outcome (minimal friction)
Current State
As of 2026-05: the concept is at the experimental stage. Examples of partial implementation:
- Venture funds using agentic systems to source and analyze founders
- Shopify, Block — AI-first processes, including a requirement for AI justification before hiring
Operationalization Through Block
